If she thought starring in one of summer's biggest blockbusters - Transformers - would open doors to a host of credible and challenging new roles it seems Megan Fox may have been mistaken.
In a role which isn't likely to put the 23-year-old in any danger of receiving an Oscar nod, the actress plays a cheerleader gone bad in her new movie Jennifer's Body.

Megan, who stars alongside former The OC star Adam Brody and a host of other C List actors, is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a small Minnesota farming town.
Her 'plain Jane' best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshipping rock band responsible for the horrible transformation.

Megan, who started being compared to actress Angelina Jolie after dyeing her blonde locks dark a couple years ago, became a big star thanks to her role in Transformers, but has become known for being a pin up than for acting.
But discussing a possible third Transformer movie, she admitted that it didn't showcase her acting abilities and hinted that she was still waiting for bigger things.
'I can't s**t on this [Transformers] movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me,' she said. 'But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a*s. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting.'

But when asked about being taken seriously as an actress she told Esquire magazine: 'I don't want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson, who I have nothing against, but I don't want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I've ever learned to prove, like, "Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak."'
But although the actress is known for being outspoken, one thing she remains quiet about is the recent reports that she is dating her Transformers co-star Shia Lebeouf.

Megan's car was spotted parked outside Shia's house at 7am and the pair left at 8am before stopping off at a doughnut shop in the LA suburb of Burbank.
The co-stars have frequently spoken of their affection for each other and last week Shia said: 'Maybe I'll date her now she's single'.
The status of Megan's on/off relationship with ex-fianc? Brian Austin Green, 35, is currently unclear
