After flashing a little more than she bargained for while adjusting her dress at the Harry Potter premiere, Emma Watson was back to her discreet best last night.
The 19-year-old actress was all blushes and giggles after she was grilled on U.S. television about the red carpet photo in which her underwear is on show.
Miss Watson, who endured torrential rain as she arrived at the opening of the sixth Potter film in London on Tuesday, described her blunder as a 'wardrobe malfunction' which she blamed on youthful inexperience.

However, during her interview on the David Letterman show last night, Miss Watson said she was thankful for one saving grace, telling the host: 'At least I'm wearing underwear.'The picture showed her adjusting the bottom half of her free-flowing vintage 1970s Ozzie Clark dress - and inadvertently putting her underwear on display.
'Tell us what's going on here,' said a deadpan Letterman as he put a copy of the picture on his desk.
'This was a small wardrobe malfunction that happens,' Miss Watson replied, giggling as she held her head in her hands.

The teenage beauty then leaned forward, put her head in her hands and declared: 'I'm still learning, I'm still learning!'
Miss Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Potter films, appeared on the chat show to promote Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which is released in cinemas on July 15.

She dressed for the occasion in a stunning coffee-coloured sheer dress with black trim, designed by up-and-coming British designer Christopher Kane.She teamed her leggy look with a pair of killer heels, the handiwork of shoe designer Charlotte Dellal, the sister of model Alice Dellal, who goes under the name Charlotte Olympia.
Miss Watson, who is currently filming Deathly Hallows, the final book in the series which will be split into two films, confirmed that she plans to study an arts degree at a U.S. university in the autumn.
The straight-A student had earlier arrived to the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York, where the Letterman show is filmed, in a black and brown spotted dress and brogues.
