Beyonce unzips her team shirt and draws in the crowds at Singapore Grand Prix

There are plenty of glamorous women in Formula One, not least the grid girls.

But all eyes were on Beyonce Knowles this afternoon at the qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.

Dressed in a F1 Rocks open-necked team shirt and hot pants with bright red lipstick, the singer brought more than a hint of glamour to proceedings.

She is in town to perform at the F1 Rocks with LG concert, and boost ticket sales for the event, which has been held from Thursday until tonight.

Her performance was due to spice up the second year of the Singapore Grand Prix night race.

Beyonce Knowles, 28, walked through the paddock at the Marina Bay Street Circuit with Anthony Hamilton, father of last year's champion, British driver Lewis Hamilton.

She met up with the McLaren driver and F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, before embracing Hamilton's girlfriend, Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls.

Asked if she was an F1 fan, Knowles replied: 'Yes, I am, obviously.' But she declined to say who her favorite team was.

Hamilton and Scherzinger, who was dressed in an asymetric white dress, were holding hands during the meet and greet, which came after he qualified in pole position for tomorrow's race.

There had been rumours that the pair had split after Scherzinger, 31, pulled out of hosting the F1 Rocks concert a fortnight ago.

Lindsay Lohan, 23, has stepped into her stilettos to host the three days of concerts.
which have featured bands such as No Doubt, ZZ Top, Simple Minds and NERD.

'It's a bunch of amazing performers whom I'm a really big fan of,' Lindsay said.

The actress - who starred in 2005's Herbie: Fully Loaded, a comedy about a Volkswagen Beetle on the racing circuit - added that she's also a Formula One fan.

'I like to drive. I like cars. I like fast cars,' she said. 'I studied Nascar for almost a year for Herbie.'

Meanwhile, while Beyonce was happy to wear her sassy outfit in Singapore, she will reportedly tone down her clothing for a show in Malaysia next month.

She is set to perform a gig in the country's capital Kuala Lumpur on October 25, but the planned gig angered Islamic extremists, who said that the star's sexy outfits and provocative dance routines are 'immoral'.

It is now claimed that the star will tone down some aspects of the gig so as not to anger people in the country, which is mostly Muslim.

Other singers such as Gwen Stefani have also toned down their shows while performing in Malaysia after being the subject of protest threats.
