She's just announced she has 'reconnected' with her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas following the break-down of her romance with Justin Gaston.

But from the look of these photographs neither was on Miley Cyrus's mind yesterday.

Her shirt transparent in the sea water, Miley was pictured passionately kissing her co-star Liam Hemsworth while filming The Last Song in Savannah.

As the cameras rolled the two ran into the waves, with Liam picking up a laughing Miley and swinging her around.

And 16-year-old Miley certainly enjoyed filming the flirty scenes with the tall, young Aussie who rolled off the Neighbours production line.

Meanwhile, her new love-interest Nick was playing to thousands of screaming teenage girls at London's Wembley Arena.

On Friday, less than a week after her break up from Justin, the Hannah Montana star said of teen heart-throb Nick: 'He's my best friend, and we still hang out all the time, and we've definitely reconnected.

'We don't know what's going to happen in the future, but right now we're just kicking it and hanging out as much as we can.'

The pair were spotted on June 9, jet-skiing together on Tybee Island, where Miley is filming her new movie.

'They looked like they were having a blast,' said a source.

Miley and Nick, also 16, broke up in December 2007, after which she told Seventeen magazine: 'I bawled for a month straight'.

But the two recently reunited when they collaborated on the duet Before The Storm for the Jonas Brothers new album and worked on the Disney's Friends for Change campaign.

'We both just kind of saw each other again and kind of decided this whole thing was stupid and... we all were over the separation,' Miley told a Tennessee radio station.

'And our families are super happy that we're hanging out again.'

Yesterday Nick and his brothers appeared on Radio 1s Live Lounge with DJ Jo Whiley.

When asked about his romance with Miley, Nick revealed he's happy that they have 'reconnected' - the same term she used when announced their friendship was back on last week.
