The Girls Aloud singer showed she has no need to diet as she unveiled her toned and trim bikini body in a Los Angeles pool over the weekend.

But perhaps the pressures are greater in LA - only last week, she made headlines after weighing her food in front of bemused diners at an upmarket London restaurant.

As Nadine sunbathed in a bikini at the weekend, it seemed she could have afforded to be a bit more generous in her portion sizes.

The 23-year-old, who was joined by fellow ex-pat Lady Victoria Hervey, had barely a spare pound on her slender frame.

The two shared some drinks, before getting to know some of the fellow guests at the hotel.

Nadine soaked up the sun in a patterned string bikini as she chatted to a few of the men in the pool, discussing which clubs to visit later that night.

The Northern Irish singer was in London last week, and visited the celebrity-friendly The Ivy restaurant.

But she shocked diners by asking for a portion of plain fish with no vegetables. After weighing it on scales, which she removed from her handbag, she sent half back to the kitchen.

Nadine has made LA her home since finding fame and her family are now based in the city.

She has invested her fortune in opening an Irish-themed bar, Nadine's Irish Mist, run by her parents and sisters.
