On the track Jenson Button and Lewis Hamiton were fighting for dominance - but in the pit lanes all eyes were on their other halves.
For the past two seasons pit photographers have had their lenses focused at Nicole Scherzinger, Hamilton’s Pussycat Doll lover.
But now she has a competitor for the title of most glamorous girlfriend with the arrival of Button's new girl - Jessica Michibata.

The Japanese lingerie model has the potential to challenge Scherzinger for pole position, as she showed at the qualifying round for today's Spanish Grand Prix.
The two both have long flowing locks, perfect figures and flawless skin.
Jessica, 24, who was born in Fukui, is, like Scherzinger, of mixed heritage, with a Japanese mother and an Argentine father of Spanish and Italian ancestry.

But that is where the similarities end. Compared to Nicole's high maintenance glamour, Jessica is much more relaxed - a shorts and t-shirt kind of girl.
She even wears flat shoes - while 30-year-old Nicole is never seen without her sky high heels.
But despite their different looks the two seem equally comfortable playing the supporting role to the racing driver boyfriends - and will be cheering them on from the pit lanes today.
